He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores "Dee"; his parents, Agnes Cattando and Joseph Cattando Sr.; his sister Angeline "Toots" Luecke (late Harold); and his siblings-in-law, William, Joseph "Sonny" Palcek (late Joyce), Josephine Triumph (late Carmen) and Cecelia Bava.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dorene Habecker (David), Gina Hamilton (George) and Joann "JoJo" Doggett (Enrico); his grandchildren, David C. Habecker II (Missi), Melissa Bounds (Tim), Kyle Joseph Hamilton (Ashley), Leevia Barnett (Bryan), Andy Doggett (Tara), John Doggett (Melissa), Suzanne Doggett (Brian Kelly) and Paul Bobbie Doggett (Kimmie); his great grandchildren, Alyssa Teneyuque (Leo), Savannah Rose Habecker, Timothy Bounds Jr., Pauly Hamilton, Evan Joseph, Ali Barnett, Ben, Maddie, Chloe and Bobbie Doggett; and his brother-in-law Allen Palcek (Kathy LaPine).
Visitation was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home (530 W 14th St, Chicago Heights, IL 60411). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 9:15 AM at the same location.
