He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Maria Parise (Keith) and Angela Melillo; his stepchildren, Mary Jo Braasch (Jon), Elizabeth Gambino, Anthony Gambino (Melissa) and Phillip Gambino; his grandchildren, Francesca, Natalia Peglow, Janice Nava (Damian), Marisa Hedger-Melillo, James Slawnikowski III (Aly), Stanley Slawnikowski, Branden, Dakota, Page Braasch, Jake Van Iten, Anthony Jr. and Vincenzo Gambino; his great grandchildren, Marco Vittorio Nava, James "Jay" IV and Liam Slawnikowski; his parents, Maria Melillo and Michele Melillo; and his siblings, Margarite Lombardi (Frank) and Antonio Angelo Melillo (Faustina).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home (530 W 14th St, Chicago Heights, IL 60411). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location.
