He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James T. Carroll and Mary Catherine Carroll; his brothers, Daniel (Mary Ellen), Dennis (Mary) and James (Cynthia); his wife Susan; his children, Timothy Gerard (Mary Elizabeth) and Mary Kathryn (Alec Middleton); and his grandson Leo Gerard.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 9:00 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Cajetan Church (2445 W 112th St, Chicago, IL 60655).
