He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Stringham and Helen Stringham. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Kristin Heidorn (Greg), Kathleen Fitzgerald (Edward), Elizabeth Gavin (Keith), Pop of Sarah, Dominick, Owen, Jeremy Heidorn, Grace, Margaret and Eleanor Gavin; and his siblings, Richard Stringham (Mary Ann), Robert Stringham (Fran), Margaret McCoy (Louie), Carol Whewell (Calvin) and Janine McIlheran (Patrick). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 9:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Woods Church (10731 W 131st St, Orland Park, IL 60462).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org.) will be appreciated.
