With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alicia Jean Barks of Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2025 at the age of 42. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Matt Siemer; and her grandparents, Pirl C., Opal F. Fadler Barks, Albert N. and Zadie B. Gamble Gerler.
She is survived by: her parents, Melvin Barks and Jean Gerler Barks; her pets, Opal and Korra; her siblings, Shelly Barks and Blake Barks (Alathea); her nieces, Taylor Whiteside (Aaron) and Emmeline Barks; her great-niece Birklee Whiteside; her aunt Betty Manderscheid (Gerald); her uncle Dan Gerler (Cindy); her sisters-in-law, Maggie, Missy and Marcia; Mark and Pam Siemer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church of Florissant (751 N Jefferson St, Florissant, MO 63031). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Global Methodist Church.
