She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Burkhardt; her parents, Richard Lynch and Dolores Lynch; and her grandparents, Nicholas and Marie Reising.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Burkhardt, Gregory Burkhardt (Marie), Thomas Burkhardt (Jamie) and Carolyn Topps; her grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, Samantha, Brenden, Evelyn, Melanie, Gianna and Marion; and her siblings, Pat (Bob), Larry (Margaret) and Phillip (Theresa).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grein Funeral Directors (2114 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60618). A Mass was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St Benedict Church. A burial was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Maryhill Catholic Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
For the past 7 years, she bravely fought the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's disease (and her caregivers).
