We announce the death of Daniel Paul Strobel of Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 40. Daniel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Katie Strobel; and his grandparents, Gary P. Strobel, William and Joan Stampfli. He is survived by: his parents, Steve Strobel and Anne Strobel of Sanford; his wife Amira; his pet Kree; his siblings, Samuel Strobel (late Katie), Emily Dias (Arjun), Rebecca Strobel, Mary Jefferson (Garrett), Tom Strobel and Joseph Strobel of Sanford; and his grandmother Joy Strobel of Durham. He is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Guild Row (3130 N Rockwell St, Chicago, IL 60618). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (160 E Vermont Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387).
