Darryl Emerson Caper Obituary
Darryl Emerson Caper was born on Friday, August 15, 1958, to the union of Eugene and Robertjeanne Caper in Chicago Illinois.
As a child, Darryl was reared in True Light M.B. Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. B. F. Paxton.
Darryl attended school in Chicago, until he was afforded the opportunity to attend Woodstock Country School in Woodstock, Vermont on a scholarship. He welcomed the opportunity while he learned to be away from home for the first time as a young high school student. Upon completion of his studies and graduation, Darryl attended Dartmouth College.
Darryl returned to Chicago to begin his working career at Illinois Bell-Ameritech. There he met and married his wife Harriet Le Royce Ford and relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where they raised their daughter, Yvonne Jean. Darryl's proudest accomplishment was being a father.
Darryl returned to Chicago in February of 2015 to begin a new chapter in his life as the primary caregiver of his mother, Robertjeanne Milan. He continued to be a great father and supportive co-parent of Yvonne Jean assisting throughout her college years.
Darryl was preceded in death by his Grandparents Thomas & Rosie Stroud and Minerva Caper; Father Eugene Caper, Step Father Eddie Milan and Father-in-law Harold Ford; Mother-in-law Arlene Mack; Uncle Tyrone Stroud; Aunts Walterine Delaney and Clementine Smith; Nephew Kevin Anderson Jr.; Cousins Reginald Stone and Craig Delaney.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his Mother Robertjeanne Milan; Daughter Yvonne Jean Ford; Former Wife Harriet Le Royce Ford; Sisters-in-law Tina (Kevin Sr.) Anderson and Charmaine Mack; Aunt Teretha Hightower; Cousins Carolyn (Orlando) Patterson and Cheryl (Marvin) Nero; Best Friends Greg (Jewel) Outlaw, James Outlaw, and Linzay Kelly; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
