He was predeceased by: his brother James Brozek (Joan); and his parents, James and Mamie. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Donald, Jr. (Diana), Thomas (Judy) and Gary; his siblings, Lorraine (Lorry) and Johnson; his grandchildren, Jessica Boersma (Scott), Nick, Alex Widdel (Brad), Tanya Crewe, Stephanie Melone (Jay), Thomas (Andrew McKay) and Scott (Chelsey); his great grandchildren, Brandon, Annie, Adrian, Evelyn, Westley, Owen, Jack, Andrew, Vada and Buffy; and his son Little League.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity the family has held dear—the Special Olympics of Illinois.
