“Some of us called Donald “St. Francis of Assisi” because of his love and care of the animals in the neighborhood.. He was a wonderful person and gentleman. He escorted countless friends and neighbors to their seats at the Lyric and took great pleasure in bringing them up to the orchestra pit for the standing ovation at the end of the performance.
