We are sad to announce that on May 22, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Ferne M. Hurwitz of Chicago, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband L. Robert Hurwitz; her son Mark Hurwitz (Lynda); her parents, Ella Margolin and Enos Margolin; and her sister Judy Ohlhausen.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Churchill (Brian) and Ronald Hurwitz (Patricia); her grandchildren, Elise, Rebecca, Jacob, Leah, Bobby Hurwitz, Stephanie Scully (Scott), John Churchill and Brad Churchill (Christine Marek); and her brother Norman Margolin (Lynne).

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Shalom Memorial Park (1700 W Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004).

In lieu of flowers and in honor of the late L. Robert and Mark Hurwitz, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.org.
