It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Rzewnicki (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Rzewnicki and Gerald Rzewnicki; and his brother Dean. He is survived by: his sons, Rich (Joanna) and Matt (Theresa); his grandchildren, Madison and Dylan; his siblings, Wayne (Lisa), Steve (Tracy), Gail Matlak and Cathy Rzewnicki; his sister-in-law Karen; his pet Chopper; and his close friend Bert. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schielka Addison Street Funeral Home (7710 W Addison St, Chicago, IL 60634). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St Francis Borgia Roman Catholic Church (8033 W Addison St, Chicago, IL 60634).
