She is survived by: her husband James C. Bruce, Sr.; her great-grandaunt Alice Dunbar Nelson; her brother Laurence Theodore Young Jr.; her sons, Jason Whittington Bruce and James C. Bruce, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Jordan James Bruce, Justin Dalton Bruce, William Atticus Bruce and Matthew Charles Bruce.
