He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Porterfield and Viola Porterfield. He is survived by: his brother Leonard; his sister-in-law Jackie; his wife Marianita; his children, Eric Shropshire (Tina), JJ Porterfield (Angela), Gina Shropshire and Allison Porterfield-Woods (Robert); his granddaughter Amanda Shropshire-Porterfield; and his great grandchild Christian Shropshire-Newson.
