He was predeceased by: his parents, Stefania Bożydaj and Szymon Bożydaj; and his sister Wanda Nierodko (late Edward). He is survived by: his spouse Helenka; his children, Asia Białecka (Staszek), Beata Kowalska (Robert), Darek Bożydaj (Kasia) and Robert Bożydaj (Ewa); his grandchildren, Julia, Laura, Eunika, Karolina, Weronika, Gabrysia, Szymon, Paweł Bożydaj (Monika), Sara Witkowska (Kuba), Natan, Beniamin and Estera; his great grandchild Iris; and his brother Edward Bożydaj (Ewa).
