She was predeceased by: her husband John; her parents, Alma Hopkins and William Hopkins; and her brothers, Horatio and Brockman.
She is survived by: her children, Vanessa (Edward), Myles (Karen) and Celeste; her stepdaughter Phyllis; and her grandchildren, Liam, Everett, Evan, Cameron and Nathan.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Ilona to St. Benedict Elementary School or PAWS Chicago, where she adopted Lucy.
