James left this world on December 8, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his son Daniel Cassidy (Zari); and his parents, James Michael and Mary Ellen. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Murphy; his daughters, Micaela Cassidy (Brad Steinkamp) and Beth Nabors (Jeff Powers); his grandchildren, Alex Nabors (Brandy), Chloe Nabors, Jessica Cassidy, Michael Cassidy and Danny Cassidy; and his siblings, Noreen Ishak (Mamdouh), Kate Wenning (John), Patricia Rosner (James), Martin Cassidy (Kathy) and Marita Kosco (Michael).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Holy Family Church (2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, IL 60067). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery (700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
