With sadness, we share the passing of JoAnn Saunders (Chicago, Illinois). JoAnn, born on November 30, 1958 in Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember JoAnn for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. JoAnn’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Redmond and Audanell Young Sifford. She is survived by: her husband Lee; her niece Cindy Bauer Blanton; and her nephew Alan Bauer. She is also survived by cousins, in-laws, former students and their parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Midwest Bible Church (3441 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60641). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Midwestern Christian Academy.
