We announce the death of John J. Fitzgerald (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on September 29, 2026. John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew John will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Fitzgerald and Johanna Fitzgerald; and his brother Kevin Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Allen (Steven) and Michael Fitzgerald; his niece Nancy Allen Thompson (Jay); his nephew Scott Allen; and his great-nephews, Benjamin and Jacob Allen.
