We announce the death of John Laszlo Snowden in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 79. John Laszlo will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Snowden and Lucille Mullins; his father-in-law Walter; his wife Janet Snowden; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Bailey and Mike Lucas.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Snowden (Shelley) and Jennifer Hemphill (Norm); his grandchildren, Katheryn Downard (Coty), Cody Snowden (Haley), Tatyana Vasquez (Enrique), Cameron Hemphill (Morgan), Malik Hemphill (Miranda Patino) and Nadia Swafford (Nathan); his great grandchildren, Odin, Logan, Luke, Rosie, Greyson, Cherry, Ilvis, Mateo, Maylani, Mariana, Elias, Eliseo, Hayes and Waylon; and his siblings, Charlene Chapin (Ron), Larry Snowden (Christine), Charon Nethery (Carl), Tom Snowden (Janet), Maryjane Bailey and Patty Lucas. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends and family.
