He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Nelems and Dorothy Nelems; his siblings, Melvin Nelems, Eleanor Rudolph and Barbara Potts; his niece Jeanette Potts King; his wife Gwendolyn Nelems; and his children, Daniella Ellis (Richard), Anita Nelems, Annissa Nelems, John Nelems and Cedrick Nelems. He was also cherished by 3 daughters, 2 sons, 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
