He is survived by : his wife Melodie; his children, Melodie Merrick (David), Sherrie Lloyd (David), Doran Sweeney (Thomas), Carie Frigo (Daniel), Michael (Elizabeth), Timothy (Grace) and Tristan Angus (Kevin); his grandchildren, Lindsey Reilly (Brendan), Liam Merrick, David (Alexandra), Derrick (Kelsie), Alysia Mazek (David), Bradon (Magdalena), Jarrid Lloyd (Maricela), Kaitlin Nisavic (Jason), Lauren Knezevic (Marko), Shannon Sweeney, Themis Frigo, John, Michael Karnezis, Caroline Karnezis, Jacqueline, Timothy Karnezis, Conlan, Michaela and Delaney Angus; his great grandchildren, Aoife, Ronan, Jackson, Josephine, Rivers, Prescott, Peyton and Dylan; his siblings, George (Kristine), Eugenia Parzakonis (John) and Sophia Mastro (late Peter); and his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Kornhaber (Bruce) and Teresa Alford (Roy).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 23rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 24th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (9235 S Hamilton Ave, Chicago, IL 60643). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 24th 2024 at the 87th Street & Hamlin Avenue Evergreen Park (S Hamlin Ave & W 87th St, Worth Township, IL 60652).
