He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Lawrence O'Connell and Margaret'Ida'Jaeger. He is survived by: his sisters, Betty June Filmanowicz (Phillip) and Theresa Foote (Guy); and his children, Kenneth, Terri (Albert Collins), Amber O'Connell, Roman (Harold) and Hannah Dunn (Carl). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

After retirement he opened Grand Avenue Shrimp House which he proudly ran until Covid.
