Lee A. Malmed Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lee A. Malmed of Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Malmed and Nathan Malmed; his brother Carl Malmed (Julie); and his brother-in-law Joel Shellist (late Harriet). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Robin Wolf (Cliff), Allan Malmed (Melissa) and Pamela Grad (Howard Kaplan); his grandchildren, Brian Wolf (Blair), Becky Jacobson (Max), Dani Weiss (Dan), Mason Malmed (Henrique Mota), Billy Malmed (Rachel Prensky-Pomeranz), Noah Malmed (Shula Ornstein), Lindsey Dianocki (Mathew), Abby Grad (Yoni Israelson), Sari Grad (Dylan Douglas), Zeyde of Darcy, Graham, Kendall Wolf, Emma, Sophie, Simon Jacobson, Avery, Michaela Weiss, Abe Pomeransky-Malmed, Zayde of Tyler Dianocki, Sam Orlov (Brandon), Chase and Emmy Orlov; and his brother-in-law Don Shellist (Maureen).

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Congregation Beth Shalom (3433 Walters Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062).
