We announce the death of Leslie Hasskarl (Chicago, Illinois), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 81. Leslie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas William Rogers (Agnes Hughes Rogers) and Scottish. She is survived by: her daughter Rachel Anne Sobel; her son-in-law Alex Rubenstein; her son Benjamin Sobel; her daughter-in-law Lee Burgess Sobel; her grandchildren, Leo Rubenstein (Sophie Myrill), Ella Rubenstein and Edwin Sobel; her sister Sheilah Rogers; and her brother-in-law Stephen Baird.
A memorial gathering was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 7724 Lowell Ave, Skokie, IL 60076. A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location. For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
