She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Thornton and Maybelle Franks Thornton; her husband Malon Owens; her son Danny E. Owens; her former husband Frank Doss; and her siblings, Charlie Thornton, Seburn Thornton, Verlon Thornton, Ruby Mitchell and Zelma Louge.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Fondren (Joseph) of Abbyville, MS, Rebecca DeClement (Nick) of Belden, MS and Tina Correro (Mike) of Bards Town, KY; her grandchildren, Dawn Yeoman (Richard), Jeremy Wilson (Audi), Meghan Kennedy, Madison Osbourne (Brian), Bailee Pope (Jon) and Maria Dietrich; and her sister Luna Moses. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
