He was predeceased by: his parents, Luis Esquivel and Loreto Esquivel; and his siblings, Domitila Esquivel, Esperanza Galvan (Manuel), Salvador Esquivel (Ernestina), Jose Esquivel (Maria Luisa), Socorro Suarez (Salvador) and Javier Esquivel.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Esquivel; his children, Joseph Louis Esquivel (Kimberly), Rose Marie Burgos (Asuncion), Robert Esquivel (Kim), Irma Cerda (Jose Luis) and Deborah Martinez (Alfredo); and his grandchildren, Joseph Esquivel (Anna), Anthony Esquivel, Lester Korgul (Jill), Mercedes Pomales (Jeremias), Diane Ramos (John), Rosemarie Rojas, Steven Burgos (Sarah), Rob Esquivel (Melissa), Ryan Esquivel (Jane), Susan Galan (Javier), Carlos Cerda (Ariana), José Luis Cerda (Nicole) and Erica Ticknor (Michael). He is also survived by 29 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
