It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marcia R. Citera (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Marcia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marcia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Anthony; her son Peter Citera (Karen); her grandson Anthony James Citera; and her sibling Terry Cook (Myra).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Queen of All Saints Basilica (6280 N Sauganash Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (2501 E Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
