We announce the death of Mary F. Nowak (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 89. Mary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband George M. Nowak; and her siblings, Jerry Kovalsky (late Virginia "Ginny") and Helen (late Chuck). She is survived by: her children, Bob (Julie), Debbie Szumowski (Wes), Patty Keefer (Tim), Dave (Candace) and Chris Nowak; her grandchildren, Eric, John, Tiffany, Will, Dan, Joe and Haley; and her great grandchildren, Breanna, Gunner, Gavin, Austen, Duke, Skylar, Link, Paisley and Nicholas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Central Chapel (6158 S Central Ave, Chicago, IL 60638). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Rene Goupil Church (6949 W 63rd Pl, Chicago, IL 60638). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
