She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Maher and Edith Maher (Bauer); her husband Paul Cale; her daughters, Lisa Harrell (Damon), Dina Cale (Lisa Atterberry), Jennifer Martin (Thomas) and Natalie Cale (Matt Freiberg); her grandchildren, Ashley, Emma, Sierra, Lauren and Zachary; and her brother Thomas Maher (Corrine). She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
When Covid confined her to her home, she enjoyed watching their rowing regattas, soccer games, and volleyball matches on television.
