He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy; his parents, Martin J. and Joan M.; his siblings, Martin Maher and Mary Beth Ahlfeld (Anthony); his siblings-in-law, Barbara Sweeney (Alfred), Mary Anne Hadeka (Joseph), Joseph LeComte (Rhonda), Catherine Garrity (Patrick) and Maureen Brookover; and his godchildren, Kelly Ahlfeld and Isabelle Brookover.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Gregory Church (5545 N Paulina St, Chicago, IL 60640). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
