He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Ziss and Katharina Ziss; and his brother Walter. He is survived by: his brother Gerhard; his sister-in-law Margaret Ziss; his son Ron Ziss; and his grandchildren, Margaux, Keith Ziss, Liebling and Irmgard Ziss.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Drake & Son Funeral Home (5303 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625). Viewing will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Montrose Cemetery (5400 N Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60630). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Drake & Son Funeral Home (5303 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the Montrose Cemetery (5400 N Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60630).
