He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susana Roman; his daughter Maria; his son-in-law Robert Carlos; his grandsons, Robert Carlos Jr. and Brandon Carlos; and his siblings, Norma Roman, Jorge Roman, Felipe Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Alberto Roman, Joaquin Martinez, Ponciano Martinez, Alejandro Roman, Reyna Leyva and Marcelino Martinez. He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
