She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas; her parents, Henry Zappa and Mildred Zappa (Novak); her brother Bernard Zappa; and her brother-in-law Bill Ek.
She is survived by: her son Christopher; her daughter-in-law Danielle; her grandchildren, Clara and Aidan; and her sister Theresa Ek. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Malec & Sons Funeral Home (6000 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646). A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the St Adalbert Catholic Cemetery (6800 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
