She was predeceased by: her husband John J. McLaughlin; her daughter Susan; her grandchild Ryan Doherty; and her parents, Bridie Boyle and Michael Boyle.

She is survived by: her children, Terrence (Patricia) of Tennessee, Kathleen Ryan (Tim) of Libertyville, Maureen Doherty (late Terrence), Kevin (Andy) of Deerfield, Marybeth (Kevin) of Flemington, NJ, Brian (Kelly), Patricia Pleuss (Jesse) of Park Ridge and Proud; her grandchildren, Sheila Metzner (Richard), Sean (Audrey), Brendan (Meghan Rose), Kevin McLaughlin, John, Susan, Eileen, Tim Ryan, Liam (Meeghan), Bridget, Patrick, Rosamond, Quinn, Dillon McLaughlin, Ian, Sarah Walsh, Kyle, Jack, Trevor McLaughlin, Declan and Maizie Pleuss; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Liam Ryan, Connor Doherty, Delaney Metzner and Aliyah McLaughlin; and her siblings, Rosaleen Dillon, Phil Boyle, Susan McGrath and Danny Boyle. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls and the Irish American Heritage Center.
