She is survived by: her siblings, Joyce Foster (Rabbi Steven) and Jack Cohn (Ruth Sobol); her nieces and nephews, David Foster (Ali), Danny Foster (Becky), Debbie Foster, Shayna Cohn (Eden Ellis) and Brad Cohn (Shira); her husband Joel Rubinstein; her children, William Rubinstein (Staci), Marla Sedler (Eric) and Brian Rubinstein (Amy); and her grandchildren, Hannah, Sarah, Ella, Sam, Braden and Chloe.

“I am very sorry to have just learned of Sharon's death. We grew up a short block away from each other in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and from childhood on she stood out as a brilliant, vibrant source of energy, wit, friendship and kindness. Thanks to Sharon, her father was often pressed to drive my twin sister and me to school with Sharon. Sharon was our role model since she was a bit older. She could be a great caustic comedienne on many occasions! My sympathies to her wonderful extended family.”
