She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter P. Sapala Sr. and Mary Sapala; and her brother Richard Sapala. She is survived by: her brother Peter P. Sapala Jr.; and her sibling's children, Heather, Jennifer, Stephanie, Steven and Justin.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home (411 Amboy Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at the St. Bernard R. C. Cemetery (551 NJ-28, Bridgewater, NJ 08807).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Shirley's memory to a children's hospital or organization serving children with special needs.
