He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jo Ann; his sons, Robert Nathan (Anne Sundberg) and Scott Nathan (Laura DeBonis); his grandchildren, Lia, Asher and Abigail; and his siblings, Barbara Waisman (Don) and Leslie Nathan (Adrienne).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Shalom Chapel Service Shalom Memorial Funeral Home (1700 W Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). A burial was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Lincoln Park (Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Park Zoo or Northwestern University Hospital's oncology research program.
