We announce the death of Toni Ann Chavez (Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothea Colbert; her brothers, Timmothy Adams and Jorge Medina; and her father Harold Adams. She is survived by: her husband Fernando Chavez; her children, Mark Colbert, Margarita Chavez and Fernando Chavez II; and her grandchildren, Mariah Haro, Fernando Chavez III, Marcello Cruz, Briana Ferrer and Berenice Fernandez.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Griesel Jimenez Stodden Funeral Home (10240 S Ewing Ave, Chicago, IL 60617). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (3200 E 91st St, Chicago, IL 60617). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL 60409).
