He is survived by: his wife Louise Joy Mattson; his children, Jackie Louise Mattson and Jason William Mattson (Kristy); his grandchildren, Ethan, Samantha, Brooklyn, Alexis and Emily; and his sister Sandi (Matt McWilliams).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bethel Community Church (7601 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
