He is survived by: his wife Joni O'Neill; his children, Bobbie Lewis of Chillicothe, Rebecca Lewis (Joseph McCune) of Peoria and Alec Lewis of Mossville Illinois; his siblings, Gene Boyer of Chillicothe, Rita Lewis of Chillicothe and Ronald Lewis (Tami) of Chillicothe; and his grandchildren, Avery, Taylyn, Catalina, Nikki and Joseph Jr.. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Weber-Hurd Funeral Home (1107 N 4th St, Chillicothe, IL 61523). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Buckingham Cemetery (1026 County Road 2150 North, Washburn, IL 61570).
