She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred D. Hawley and Bessie Ely (Zinn); her husband Fritz Lauber; her stepfather Chuck Ely; her son Fred Lauber; her grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Christopher Lauber and Joshua Snyder; and her siblings, Pat Rosa, Bob and George Hawley.
She is survived by: her children, Cynd Snyder (Dave) of Wisconsin, Michael Lauber (Dorothy) of Florida, Brian Lauber of Indiana, Dawn Davis of Peoria, IL and David Lauber (Judy) of Chillicothe, IL; and her siblings, Bill, Jim Hawley and Sally VanDeVorde. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (1216 N 6th St, Chillicothe, IL 61523). A Mass was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in her name may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church.
