He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee R. Armstrong and Ethel R. Armstrong (Dixon); his wife Rema Josephine Prior; his son Ralph E. "Chico" Armstrong; his daughter-in-law Susan Armstrong; and his sister Dortha McClendon (Bert).
He is survived by: his son Ron Armstrong of Bartonville, IL; his grandson Randy Armstrong (Veronica); his great grandchild Gabriella; and his stepgranddaughter Nicole Allan (Brian).
