He is survived by: his father Charles (Marie Schaefer); his wife Marge; his children, David Schaefer (Kathy) of Missouri, Philip Schaefer (Melissa) of Katy, Elizabeth Taylor (Kyle) of Texas City and Melissa Malson (Jeff) of Brimfield; his grandchildren, Jordan, Gavin, Caroline and Emerson Schaefer; his siblings, Steven Schaefer (Karol) of Cissna Park, IL and Susan Lang (Allan) of Cape Neddick, ME; his half-brother Kent Schaefer (Amy) of Mesa, AZ; his niece Tiffany Schaefer of West Lafayette, IN; and his nephew Daniel Lang of Portland, ME..
