She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard LaCock and Pauline LaCock; her adoptive parents, Virginia Blankenship and Melvin Blankenship; and her brother Eugene LaCock.

She is survived by: her brother Duane LaCock; her children, Virgil Harvey "Curt" Darnell Jr. (Andi), Lori A. Duncan (Joseph) and Patrick E. Darnell (Rosalina); and her pet Kiwi. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
