It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Strode of Chillicothe, Illinois, born in Rushville, Illinois, who passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clyde Walker and Nina Walker (Phillips); her husband Max Strode; and her children, Michelle Hyter of Lacrosse, WI, Yvonne Strode of Peoria and Bill Strode (Theresa) of Wyoming, IL. She was also cherished by 7 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Southwest Indian Foundation.
