She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Thacker and Esther Thacker (Warren); her former husband Fred E. Murphy; her husband LeRoy Buck; her brothers, Boyd and Lloyd Thacker; her sisters-in-law, Mary Jo and Marian; her sister Betty Jo Strawn; her granddaughters, Tiffini Murphy and April Murphy; her son-in-law Tim Nichols; Ralph Strawn.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Starnes (Don) of Chillicothe, Lisa Nichols of Carman and Fred C. Murphy (Jill) of Sparland; her stepdaughter Debra Martinez of Texas; and her siblings, Nedra Notzke (Daryl) of Chillicothe, Debbie Pearson (Archie Brewer) of Chillicothe and Delbert Thacker of Wisconsin. She is also survived by three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chillicothe City Cemetery (510 W Frances St, Chillicothe, IL 61523).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the ARK in Lacon.
