He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter VanZandt and Myrl VanZandt (Dees); and his siblings, Doy VanZandt and Charmaine Childers. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Sheeley of Hudson, FL; his sister-in-law Billie VanZandt of Christopher; and his sibling's children, Pam Norris of Sesser, Andrea Parker, Kim Orlando, Kris Clark, Karol Turco, Kelly Hunt, Linda Sheeley, Trisha Sheeley, Kyle Childers and Steven Sheeley. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home (209 N Emma St, Christopher, IL 62822). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
