He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Phillips and Cora Phillips (Skjevland); his wife Rosetta Phillips (Ashworth); and his siblings, Dale Phillips, Bernice Holtz, Carroll "Red" Phillips, Harold Phillips, Robert Phillips and Bill Phillips.

He is survived by: his children, Donna Warren of Claremont, Mike Phillips of Claremont and Dave Phillips (Kim) of Claremont; his grandchildren, Leslie D. Warren, Belinda Warren, Brad Warren (Heidi), Jeremy Warren (Katherine), Eric Warren, Maxine Combs, Justin Blackburn, Kyle Phillips, Michael Arnone, Christina Arnone, Brittany Steen, Jesse Carpenter and Laiken Harrolle; his sisters, Doris Nowling (Doug), Colleen McCleave and Shirley Fulton; and his sister-in-law Karen Phillips. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crest Haven Memorial Park (7573 IL-250, Claremont, IL 62421).
