He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Henry and Ovie Francis Cox (Rogers); his wife Shirley Cox; and his siblings, Delbert Cox, Ralph Wayne Cox, James Henry Cox, Virginia Markley, Nadine Hamilton and Mary Lou Cox.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Baker-Sullens (Will Kirk) of Clay City; his grandchildren, Denby Joe Baker (Carla) of Indianapolis and Kia Marie Baker (Jackie Jackson) of Clay City; his great grandchildren, Khierra Beal, Weston Beal of Foss, Takisha Baker of Kinmundy and Michael R. Persinger of Flora; his great great grandchildren, Kinsley Jo Weston, Kace Eugene Weston and River Stultz; his siblings, Erma Keele (Jack) of Broken Arrow, Marie Dennis of Flora and Vernon Cox (Ruth) of Springdale, Arkansas; and his uncle Calvin Cox of East St. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
